Celebrity Baby Birthday Bashes

27 Aug

From the day they are born you know they are going to be spoilt rotten, and despite the fact that they are only 1 years old, you can’t help but feel a little jealous.

We have been green with envy looking at the best celebrity baby birthday bashes that have been thrown over the last few years, and felt sorry for ourselves when all we got this year was a birthday card, signed by everyone, rather than individual personalised cards. Sob!

Here are a few celebrity birthday bashes that we wish we were invited too.

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony

Twins Max and Emme kept their children’s party simple inviting all their friends to their home were they held a traditional child’s birthday party with balloons, birthday cakes, clowns and party food. A far cry from their over the top parties, but we are sure they didn’t do it on the cheap!

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes

Suri Cruise’s superstar parents spoilt her rotten on her 2nd birthday. The couple reportedly spent $100,000 on a butterfly themed party which included lavish flower arrangements, a cake for Suri decorated with butterflies, a personalised cake for each guest and a lavish sit down dinner for the adults.

Britney Spears and ex husband Kevin Federline

A joint birthday party for Jayden and Sean Preston in September 2008. The car truck themed party featured personalised licence plates for the guests and a cake while the boys cruised around in the mini motorised cars.

If you cannot afford personalised birthday cakes and number plates then why not send a free personalised card with ecards.co.uk.

A weekend in London

09 Aug

Next month a group of my friends and I are all heading down to London for the weekend. Because we live in a very small town in the north of England, it’s not often that we get to see the bright lights of a major city. Manchester is just a bit too far away to get to on a regular basis, and of course, although it is a great city, it will be nice to go somewhere completely different.
For the most part, we are all looking forward to hitting the west end more than anything else. We managed to find a hotel right in the middle of the west end which wasn’t too expensive, which means that all of the great things you can do in the west end will be right on our door step.
On the first night I think that we will concentrate on getting to know the local area, and we will probably head to one of the famous clubs in the area, and do a bit of celebrity spotting! Of course all of the days are going to be dedicated to shopping, with Covent Garden’s independent clothes retailers a definite!
The second night will be a Saturday night, and that will be the main night of the weekend for us. We have already managed to find some cheap tickets for the theater online, so the evening will revolve round our trip to see Chicago! We really can’t wait, and we’ve heard that there are a number of lovely little restaurants in and around the theatre we are visiting.
Our London trip should be absolutely fantastic. As much as anything, it will be great to get away from it all for a while, and the bright lights and excitement of London are the perfect antidote when a bit of boredom starts to creep into your life.
